In Perfect Harmony

Haven't we had enough?

Famine, disease, war.
Senseless killing of the innocents.
Violence against women and children.
Lust for power.
Child trafficking.
Corruption.
Lies.
Greed.

Wake up, world!

I saw this video on youtube. The song sounded very familiar and then I remembered that this was the song for a Coke commercial way back in the 70s. The message is simple - spread love and peace. I am sharing it with you today.

I'd Like to Build the World A Home
Performed by The New Seekers
Songwriters: B.Backer, B. Davis, R. Cook, R. Greenway

I'd like to build a world a home
and furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
and snow white turtle doves

I'd like to teach the world to sing
in perfect harmony
I'd  like to hold it in my hands
and keep it company.

I'd like to see the world for once
all standing hand in hand
and hear them echo through the hills
for peace throughout the land.

Its the real thing
what the worlds wants today
That's the way it'll stay
with the real thing

I'd like to teach the world to sing
in perfect harmony.
A song of peace that echoes on
and never goes away.

Put your hand in my hand
Let's begin today
With your hand in my hand
help me find a way

I'd like to see the world for once
all standing hand in hand.
And hear them echo through the hills
for peace throughout the land.

I'd like to teach the world to sing
in perfect harmony.
A song of peace that echoes on
and never goes away.

Break down the barriers of race, color, and religion.
We are all brothers.
That's all we need to believe.

  1. I love the message of the songs. Day after day, I've been reading news about crimes and wars. So sad

  2. This event is heart-breaking. I didn't believe in Nostradamus' predictions until this happened. I too am hoping for better days ahead to stop killing thousands of innocent people including very young ones. :(

  3. How many decades have passed and the song still remains true and still a goal for mankind? I also wish for the same but it seems to be harder and harder. Countries left and right fight with one another. Even within own families, there is fighting.

  7. The world has taken a turn to the worse because of the 7 capital sins. I am scared to even think how the future generation will instill the good values we have learned in out time to their offsprings when they are constantly exposed to the negativity of their surrounding. I could only pray that the good prevails and all these nonsense end.
